It is the policy of Paddle Avon that all paddlers, volunteers, coaches and parents show respect and understanding for each other and conduct themselves in a way that reflects the principles of the Club. The aim is for all paddlers to improve performance and have fun.
Everyone involved in the Club should abide by the Club Rules and Policies.
If a breach of the provisions or principles of this Code of Conduct occurs or is reasonably suspected to have occurred, Paddle Avon reserves the right to take such action as it deems appropriate, including but not limited to asking the person responsible for the breach to leave the club premises.
Any disciplinary or complaint hearings in connection with a breach of these rules shall be dealt with in accordance with the disciplinary procedure as set out in the club’s constitution.
The changing rooms and shower facilities are available for all members to use, but these are also used by the other groups that are on the site. Parents or adults bringing children under the age of 18 are responsible for ensuring they are appropriately supervised in the changing rooms both before and after a training session. Paddle Avon can only accept responsibility for children once they have changed and are ready to commence a session. On completion of a session, children will be returned to parents or supervising adults who must ensure they’re available to take responsibility for supervising showering and changing.
Please note that if children are uncomfortable changing or showering at the club, no pressure should be placed on them to do so, but they should be encouraged to do this at home. However, we do insist that hands are washed before handling any food or drinks after a session.
